PRICING

We don't cost an arm and a leg.

Because it has a reputation for being expensive, many people think
that quality TV/video production is out of reach for their project. So we've
made it our business to make television production affordable. (Maybe just an arm.)

How?

  • By putting more of your budget on the screen, and less into fancy schmancy offices.
  • By investing in the most sophisticated cameras and editing equipment, while
eliminating the caterers and the limos.
  • By relying a core team of creative, experienced professionals who know how
to avoid time-consuming, costly mistakes and redundancies.
  • By shooting only what is needed to make editing fast and efficient.
  • From conception to distribution, VEP can work within the tightest budget
constraints, producing a value-driven product that will make you proud.
  • By using an easy-to-understand system of job estimation that we call Per-Finished-Minute* pricing. (Read on. We'll explain what it is and why it saves everyone time and money.)

If you need a Toyota , we don't sell you a Cadillac.

Not every project needs every bell and whistle to get the job done.
So we work with you up front to discover what you're trying to accomplish.
Then we write the script and plan the production to get it done on time and
on budget. Of course, if you really need a Cadillac, we can do that too, but
you may have to pay less than you expected.

About Per-Finished-Minute Pricing

In most cases for long-form projects (5 minutes+), we produce cost
estimates based on a "per-finished-minute" system, which may be unfamiliar
to some. Unlike most quotes, which break out all project costs into line
items to arrive at the grand total, we simply guarantee a price-per-minute for
the final video.

We believe there are many advantages to this system, both for us and for our clients.

  • It's much simpler. PFM pricing cuts through all the technical details to arrive at the bottom line. This saves us time in preparing bids, and you time in evaluating them.
  • It's fair and forthright. We always submit bids that provide you with the video you need, and us with a fair profit. You don't have to try to figure out whose line items are padded, or where someone's cost cutting might cost you an effective video.
  • You're guaranteed a price you can count on. You know what your project will cost to the penny . Length is the only variable. If the video ends up being shorter than expected, you'll pay less. And if you decide you need to put more into it than you originally thought, you'll know exactly how much you'll have to pay. You can write it right into the contract.
  • All costs are included . Except for any Optional items that we clearly note, everything is covered by our PFM rate. All our hard costs, travel, equipment packages, talent fees and permits, right down to the donuts and coffee, are included. You also get an experienced producer onsite during the shoot as well as in post-production to ensure everything goes smoothly. You'll never get any unexpected - and unwelcome - surprises.
  • There's always a per-finished-minute cost anyway . No matter how an estimate is line-itemed, your cost always comes down to "How much per-finished-minute?" It just takes you longer to get there. And until the final bill arrives, you have to worry about hidden costs, overruns, surcharges, and whatnot. With PFM pricing, you know right up front. Guaranteed.

So What's the Bottom Line?

Our projects range from $1500 pfm on the low end to $4000 pfm
on the high end. Most fall in the $1500-$3000 pfm range. Please contact us to
find out what your project will cost.
