WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE BELIEVE

We believe in having fun.

Hey, this is what we love to do, and we're not about to make it boring
or dull. One of the things our clients appreciate most about the Video
Express crew is the way we make the production process enjoyable, from
start to finish. We know how to put on-camera subjects at ease, and how to
get the best from a performer. We have a unique ability to extract competent
performances from nonprofessional talent and add "view-ability" to clinical
or technical subjects that are not inherently naturals for television. After all,
this is television, not brain surgery. (Unless, of course, you're a hospital.)

Key Personnel

Gary Tyree, Owner, General Manager

After his tenure as General Manager of the NBC affiliate in Helena, Gary co-founded Video Express Productions in 1979, to provide mobile teleproduction services for advertising agencies, commercial clients, and public and private organizations. He believes in the no-frills approach to quality TV: "If you want to play movie maker and hang out on the set while a giant production machine plods along consuming your marketing dollars by the bushel then we might not be for you."

Patrick Hutchins, Writer/Field Producer

Patrick has been writing compelling video communications for nearly a quarter century, first at advertising agencies in Los Angeles , then as Creative Director at Spiker Communications in Missoula . Now in association with Video Express, he writes a wide variety of educational and commercial programs using advanced scripting software, and the conviction that an effective video must, above all, be a watched video: "Even mundane subjects can be interesting, if they are told well. We're in the story business, because that's what humans have always responded to."

Tony Anderson, Producer

A veteran TV producer and editor, Tony joined the Video Express team following several years as Production Manager at the ABC affiliates in Great Falls and Helena . In that role, he oversaw all aspects of the stations' commercial and public service production, including creative development, budget control, and cleaning the restrooms. Before that, he worked as production director and cameraman at several other network affiliates, and was part of the production team on an independent feature film. Tony is a veteran of both the U.S. Air Force and the Film and Television Production program at MSU-Bozeman. He says "My job, first and foremost, is to make sure what ends up on the screen looks like a million bucks, even if it was done for a dollar ninety-eight."
